Infinity Forum is a threat actor group associated with Killnet and its allies. Established as a project to raise funds for these groups, it serves a dual purpose: expanding their capabilities and numbers while also facilitating the interaction between novice hacktivists and financially driven cybercriminals. The Infinity forum operates primarily on the dark web, providing a platform for collaboration among various hacker groups and facilitating the sale of cybercrime tools and stolen data.
Between November 2022 and April 2023, the Infinity Forum, owned and operated by Killnet, became a hub for illicit activities. During this period, Killnet was observed selling logs, data, and access to networks via their Telegram channels and the Infinity forum. This platform not only served as a marketplace for these illegal commodities but also featured advertisements, further enhancing its role in the cybercriminal ecosystem.
Killnet's activities have expanded beyond the Infinity Forum, partnering with several botnet providers and the Deanon Club, another threat group. Together, they've targeted narcotics-focused darknet markets, demonstrating a broadening scope of operations. These partnerships underscore the increasing complexity and interconnectedness of threat actor groups, highlighting the need for robust cybersecurity measures to counter such evolving threats.
