Cleaver, a cybersecurity threat actor, has recently made headlines for its comments on the controversial SMS campaign run by Movement Labs. The campaign, which involved telling people they were not registered to vote, was deemed incompetent but not malicious by Cleaver. The same voter registration query form used in these messages is also available on voteamerica.org. However, VoteAmerica founder Debra Cleaver criticized Movement Labs' approach, stating that it violates a fundamental principle of election outreach: never informing recipients about their potential voter status. She highlighted that voter files are often unreliable and outdated, making such practices misleading. In a separate incident, two men caused public outrage when they were filmed brutally killing a python using a cleaver. The men kicked the python, grabbed its tail leaving it no way to escape, and then butchered it with a cleaver while cheering. This incident sparked widespread criticism and calls for legal action against the individuals involved. In yet another unrelated event, a woman in her 40s was arrested at the Shek Wu Hui Jockey Club Playground for hacking a tree with a cleaver. The incident, which occurred around 11:53 pm, was captured on tape. Reports suggest that the woman may have been mentally unstable. Ryan Elliott, from Cleaver Fulton Rankin solicitors, anticipates a surge in legal cases related to these incidents, as he has already received instructions from senior officers to send pre-proceedings letters to the chief constables.
